RGB LED and Micro RGB backlights are the most significant change to LCD televisions in years, and coverage of them is dominated by launch announcements. We keep a tracker of what has actually reached US shelves, checked against the live Amazon catalogue rather than against press releases. Right now that answer is uncomfortable: one model, out of stock.

Help you buy the television you can buy today

Most people reading about RGB TVs will end up buying an OLED or a Mini-LED, because that is what exists. So the rest of the site is about those — organised by size, budget, technology and room.

What we do not do

We do not test televisions, and we say so on every page. How we work explains exactly what our recommendations rest on.
