How far should you sit from a TV?
For 4K, a comfortable viewing angle is roughly 1.2 to 1.6 times the screen width. In practice that means about 6.5 to 8 feet for a 65-inch, and 7.5 to 9.5 feet for a 75-inch.
These follow the 30–40° viewing angle range used by SMPTE and THX for cinema seating. Closer than 30° and a 4K screen stops feeling immersive; wider than 40° and you start moving your head to follow the action.
